In Turkey, two hot air balloons crashed on Sunday. These balloons were taking tourists for a ride from Ihlara Valley. The accidents happened near two villages, Gözlukuyu and Belisırma.
In the first crash, the pilot died. His feet got stuck in a rope, and he fell out of the balloon. He was trapped under the basket and could not survive. 19 tourists from Indonesia were hurt in this accident. They were taken to the hospital quickly. Officials say they are in good condition now.
In the second crash, 12 tourists from India were slightly injured. Their balloon had a rough landing near Belisırma village. These tourists were also taken to the hospital for checks.
The governor of Aksaray, Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoğlu, talked about the events. He said that while the pilot died, the tourists are safe and being looked after. Both accidents are being looked into to find out why they happened.
