Later, Zelensky and Trump talked about US weapons for Ukraine. Zelensky said it was a good talk. The US had stopped sending some weapons, which Ukraine needs to defend itself.
The attacks damaged trains, schools, buildings, and cars in Kyiv. Other areas in Ukraine were also hit. A woman died in Russia after a Ukrainian drone attack near the border.
Trump said he was disappointed with Putin because there was no progress to stop the war. Putin's spokesperson said Russia will keep fighting until it reaches its goals.
NATO's leader said he hopes the US will still help Ukraine with weapons. Germany is talking to the US about sending air defense systems to Ukraine.
